Want To Go Racing?
What do I need to go racing?
To race Classic Motocross there are four (4) things required to get started:
- You must to register with VCM for the season (normally costs $35). You can pay your VCM registration fee during your online entry to your first race of the season. NOTE: THE VCM REGISTRATION FEE IS WAIVED FOR THE 2022 SERIES.
Once registered you are eligible to enter any of the races in the VCM Interclub Series, and for the end of season trophies.
- You must be a member of one an MV affiliated club (you may be able to get a day membership from the host club depending on the host club’s constitution)
- You need to have a national race licence (one day licenses are available, cost $85)
- You need a pre ’60, pre ’70, pre ’75, pre ’78 bike, or an Evolution* bike.
There are two ways to enter a race (cost $65). Either enter & pay online by clicking on the “entry” link next to a race on the “Calendar” page -OR- you can come along to the race event and enter on the day at Race Sign In (cost $80 to enter on the day).
Notes:
* “Evolution” is any bike from 1978 or later, built with non-linkage rear suspension, no water cooling, no disc brakes and no upside down forks.
